Quest bars review

I haven’t done a fitness related post in a while so I decided to do one for you all today! If you haven’t heard of these already, Quest bars are one of the cleanest protein bars out there and they come with amazing macros. Each bar comes with 20g of protein, and 3g of net carbs! It can’t get better than that!

Quest bars

Quest bars come with the most unique craving satisfying flavors out there ! But before we get into my review of the top Quest flavors out there, I’m going to talk a little more about them. Quest bars are sweetened with either dehydrated fruits, stevia, erythritol, or sucralose. Which means that there isn’t any white sugar in any of the bars which keep them cleaner than most bars out there. They are also primarily made out of IMO fiber so not only are they high in protein but they are fiber packed too!

Another fantastic thing about Quest bars is how versatile they are! Not only can you eat them as they are straight out of the package but you can also bake, broil and microwave them to transform them into even yummier treats!

I love eating mine baked the best because it makes them chewy on the outside and melty on the inside. Goodness, talking about them right now is already making me want to whip up another batch of Quest cookies topped with protein “icing” hehe. So I’ll leave you guys at that and move on to the review part of the post 🙂

Protein muffins made with Quest bars

Apple pie

This one was one of my favorites. I love my apples and eating this one warmed up in the microwave made the perfect melt in your mouth apple pie texture and all the dehydrated apple slices that they put throughout it definitely helped! 🙂

Banana nut muffin

Out of all the bars this was the one I was looking forward to the MOST because banana nut muffins are by far one of my favorite pastries out there.Well it could of had a little more banana flavor in there but I’m not going to complain because I got to have one of my favorite treats without feeling guilty about it and who doesn’t being able to do that?

Strawberry cheesecake

I wasn’t too overly excited for this one because I don’t like cheesecake but it actually didn’t end up tasting like cheesecake at all to me. It actually tasted more like a strawberry protein bar instead. For some reason I didn’t think that this one would be very sweet except it ended up being a bit too sweet for me.

White chocolate raspberry

Oooo…I could have this one over and over again. I had this one baked and the chocolate got all melty and delicious! This one reminded me a bit of the cookies n’ cream bar and the raspberry in it gave it a cute pink colour too!

White chocolate raspberry Quest bar

Cookie dough

From what I have seen, this one is one of the MOST POPULAR flavors of Quest bars out there and for good reason! It literally tasted like cookie dough and then when you bake it it’s like having a chocolate chip cookie! Isn’t it always nice to find something healthy to satisfy your need for something so much naughtier?

Cinnamon roll

I was looking forward to this one because I love cinnamon rolls but I was almost disappointed to find that there wasn’t as much cinnamon flavor as I would of liked. 🙁 But maybe that’s just me because I love me some cinnamon and can never get enough of it. I also chose to eat this one warm and top it off with vanilla protein powder “icing” to give it more of that cinnamon bun feel (:

Coconut cashew

This one was definitely a lot softer than the other Quest bars of the pack. I think it was because of the cashews that were in it because generally blended up cashews give things a creamier texture. Since it already felt so soft in the package I decided to not have this one baked…which was a good call on my part because it would of definitely been too soft otherwise. It wasn’t one of my favorites because it was quite sweet and I would of liked it if it had more coconut.

Vanilla almond crunch

I wasn’t too interested in this one because it didn’t sound too enticing to me since it didn’t sound like anything too special but as with most of the flavors I was proven wrong when I bit into it. It tasted very much like a vanilla pound cake with undertones of almond. I also liked the bits of almonds that was in it too to add well…crunch as the name suggests.

Variety of Quest bars

Double chocolate chunk

This one was like the cookie dough Quest bar taken up a chocolate notch! Double the chocolate? Need I say more?

Chocolate brownie

Oddly enough I found this one to be a little salty when I ate it as it was…but once I baked it it seemed to have disappeared so it wasn’t so strange to me anymore after that. I don’t necessarily think that it tasted like a brownie and if I had to pick, I would choose the double chocolate chunk one over this one for sure in terms of chocolateyness

Chocolate peanut butter

This one totally reminded me of a Snickers or O’ Henry bar! I haven’t had one of those chocolate bars in ages. It was such an awesome feeling to be able to eat something like it again without feeling guilty about it! At first I thought that this one would be quite sweet since it has chocolate in it but it was more of a bittersweet chocolate and I quite liked that part about it.

Peanut butter supreme

I’m not a fan of peanut butter so I didn’t enjoy it as much as I liked the other bars. I’m POSITIVE that if you’re a peanut butter lover, you’ll fall head over heels for it
