Oracle and I were supposed to go to Roundel cafe a couple of months ago. There was a line out the door so we opted to go somewhere else to eat instead. I wasn’t about to move on and not try food at Roundel Cafe so I went there again a different day.
I decided to get the roasted beet salad ($9.95) with goat cheese. Instead of the goat cheese, I chose to order the smoked salmon. I liked the amount of roasted beet they had on top of the salad greens. The smoked salmon on top wasn’t very delicately placed and looked almost shredded/mangled on the plate. I really don’t think it was worth the $5 to add it on top. However, my friend who had an omelette loved their dish and felt that it was really well prepared and filling so perhaps I just picked a less than stellar menu item 🙁
