Hands down one of my favourite Korean bbq spots in Vancouver. Kook bbq is known for their 12 different banchans! They have ones that are spicy, pickled and salad based. Each one is delicious and you can get UNLIMITED REFILLS for each! We usually get through 3 rounds of refills before we are too full to go on for more even though they are sooo tasty!
We usually go in a group of 6 and order 3 different types of meat to share. I like coming with more people because then you can try a variety of different things. All meat dishes also come with lettuce so you can make a wrap with it
I love how they always give you the tools for bbq right away. This way, you don’t need to keep asking for different things throughout your meal. They also offer to change the bbq grip plate whenever it looks like it’s ready to be changed so you don’t need to worry about burnt bits on your food either. All that to say, Kook bbq has amazing service!
Last but not least, we always round our meal out with a seafood pancake. The one here is crispy on the outside which is always nice but it’s a little on the “batter heavy” side. There is some seafood on the interior but there could be more because sometimes you just end up with bites of batter.
If you love Korean bbq or banchan, Kook bbq is the place to go and you won’t regret it! Plus they have free parking!
