Pita chips (clean eats/vegan)

It’s that time of the day again…SNACK TIME! Today, I decided to make her a variety of pita chips because I made a batch of pita bread the other day and figured that I could repurpose them this way. Well that and she’s been having a lot of chips lately and I wanted to give her a healthier alternative to them. Plus it’s always wonderful and comforting to know what has gone into your food and well, these pita chips are LITERALLY made from scratch right down to the pita themselves!

Pita chips

Simple. Clean. Ingredients.

5 pitas
1 tablespoon coconut oil or oil of your choice
toppings: garlic powder, dried herbs, cinnamon sugar, etc

Here’s how we do:

Brush the pitas with a light coating of coconut oil and sprinkle your topping of choice on top

pita bread with spices

Bake the pita rounds at 400F for 8 – 10 minutes until they are golden brown on the bottom and crispy. Cut into wedges and munch!

Lil’ bun absolutely adored these pita chips because she got to pick all the toppings her self. As much as she likes her parmesan, her favourite version had got to be the cinnamon sugar ones because of her love of cinnamon of course. (:
