Healthy pizza (clean eats)

Lil bun was feeling hungry in the tummy the other day and I decided to whip up a quick healthy pizza for her to munch on. Instead of using yeast or flour, this pizza crust is made out of oats, an egg, and ground flax seed! I don’t think pizza crust can get any cleaner than that do you? Anyways, I like using this pizza crust because it’s quick and easy to make since it’s cooked right on the stove and if you can make a pancake, you can make this healthy pizza!

Healthy pizza

Simple. Clean. Ingredients.

1/2 cup oats
1 egg
1 tablespoon ground flax seed or chia seeds
3 tablespoons water

pizza toppings: tomato sauce, veggies, cheese, meats, avocado, pesto, you know…the good stuff.

Mix all the ingredients together to form a batter. Pour the mixture onto a frying pan on medium heat and cook it until lightly golden on one side. Flip it over and top pizza with your favorite toppings and cheese. Reduce to low heat and cover for 3 – 5 minutes to let cheese melt on top.

Transfer onto a place and munch!

Since the crust was so clean and not too child friendly in taste…lil’ bun ended up topping it with a TRUCKLOAD of cheese because cheese is her favorite part about pizza. Contrary to the way she tops her pizza…I usually go without cheese and top my pizza with tomato sauce, slices of avocado, some spinach, a few basil leaves and diced tomatoes instead. What do you put on your pizza?

That looks more like “cheese” than cheese. 🙂 What kind is it?
