Appetizer platter: jelly fish, roasted pork and duck The platter was pretty standard, and we noticed that there weren’t any vegetarian options. Lil’ bun was pleasantly surprised that the jellyfish wasn’t spicy since usually it tends to be and the duck was a nice addition.
Mother deer got a cake from Anna’s cake house for lil’ bun’s birthday. We never get our birthday cakes here but they’re pastries are quite good so we figured that we would give it a try. And boy…it was not a very good call to make because we were definitely not impressed with this one.
I rarely ever go out for dim sum but I was back visiting home and a few of mother deer’s friends wanted to take me out for brunch so we decided to go. Originally we were going to Golden Lake but it was packed so we went to Van dragon further down Hastings instead.

After a long morning of shopping at the outlets, we decided to head on over to Kongee Dynasty for lunch upon my suggestion because I’ve been wanting to go there for a while and being that it was a cold day, a hot bowl of congee was definitely in order.
