Fujiwara Tofu Shop has been a place that Grayson has wanted to visit for a while now and we finally had the time to stop by. It’s located in Richmond along Alexandra Rd and the decorations inside do not disappoint. If you’re a car and tofu enthusiast, this is the place to be! Not only do they serve tofu pudding here but they also offer drinks and other traditional style desserts as well. It’s definitely a place where there’s more than what meets the eye.
Soy milk tea
I couldn’t go to a tofu shop without trying their soy milk so I decided to try their soy milk tea. It had a rich soy bean flavour with a hint of tea. The menu didn’t say that it came with toppings but I was pleasantly surprised to find that it came with grass jelly, tofu pudding and pearls! This drink may be small but it packed a punch when it came to flavour and toppings.
Signature tofu pudding
There was two types of tofu pudding to offer and we decided to go with the signature one because it came with a pudding like scoop of tofu pudding instead of it being broken up. Honestly, I didn’t really have expectations going into this. I mean how different can tofu pudding be? BUT I was pleasantly surprised because this tofu pudding was amazing! It was silky smooth and had the earthiness of the soy beans. I’m used to sweet tofu pudding so this was a nice change. The tofu pudding also had grass jelly, QQ balls, red beans, and pearls with it which made the dessert filled with fun textures!
Matcha cup
Each tofu pudding you order comes with a miniature dessert which I appreciated because the tofu pudding was $15!!! We decided to go with the matcha cup which was match pudding, red beans, and matcha ice cream.
Fujiwara Tofu Shop might be on the pricier side when it comes to tofu pudding shops but they have quality tofu pudding so it is worth a try. Would I revisit? Maybe once in a blue moon because of the pricing.
