Whatever Tea is a bubble tea shop that focuses on creative flavours and unique drinks. Whatever Tea is located along Kingsway just outside of Crystal Mall. The cafe isn’t very big on the inside but they have a little big of seating by the front door. They also have a large chalk board for people to write on to add to the community aspect of the tea shop.
Whatever tea bar is known for their pop can style drink containers. You’re able to grab this unique pop can style bottle with your drink in it for an added $1.50 each. I believe you can open the can similar to any pop can by popping the top. I thought this was such a unique container to have to carry drinks!
Taro milk tea with sago
The taro milk tea from Whatever tea is made with taro powder to create a lovely purple colour. The taro flavour wasn’t very strong and the drink was not very sweet either. There were floral and earthy notes throughout the drink from the taro. The sago on the bottom matched the drink well.
Peach oolong tea with yogurt foam
The peach added sweet notes to the background to help balance the robust flavours with smoky notes of the oolong tea. I’ve never had yogurt foam before so I was excited to try it out. The yogurt foam tasted like vanilla yogurt but with a foamy texture. I didn’t think it was anything special and prefer the cream cheese foam they have at other places. I do appreciate that it is a healthy alternative though.
