Let’s go on a a journey. A little over 10 years ago, Jenjudan was created as a way to create a healthier version of popular bubble tea drinks in Taiwan.
Jenjudan self-proclaims themselves to be the “Master of Brown Sugar Pearls.” They created their brown sugar pearls after a long trial and error process of mixing different types of sugars together. Their signature Brown sugar tapioca pearls are slow cooked in a top-secret brown sugar recipe to create the perfect chewy and sweet flavour.
In English, Jenjudan means “precious stewed pearls!”

Their number 1 signature drink is the Brown sugar pearl milk and it comes with 3 layers. This drink has brown sugar pearls on the bottom, then brown sugar, and milk on top. Other favourites include

Brown sugar earl grey
A new drink on our radar. Earl grey tea lover, Grayson, was excited to try this out. The earl grey tea had floral notes from the black tea leaves and citrus from the bergamot. The brown sugar added a caramel flavour that lightly sweetened the drink. I don’t like earl grey and found it to be quite enjoyable.
Brown sugar pearl lemonade
AMAZING drink for the summer. The drink was tart from the lemonade and the brown sugar added sweetness. I was worried about ordering the drink though because their brown sugar drinks have the minimum sweetness set at 30%. Luckily, I didn’t think it was too sweet. The brown sugar pearls in the drink were perfection. Soft. Slightly chewy. Caramelized. Who knew lemonade could be so delicious?
