Hello! I went to try a new tea spot last weekend at Aberdeen called Tiny One. Tiny One is located in Aberdeen Centre. It’s actually not a bubble tea shop but a hot pot restaurant that offers drinks as well.
Their interior is well-lit and woodsy. If you enter from the mall, you are greeted with a hostess stand and booth seats. You can also enter from the outside and this will lead you directly to the counter where you can order your drinks.
The drink menu includes dirty milk tea, special drinks, fresh fruit tea and hot drinks. Dirty milk tea is essentially milk and a puree of the flavour it comes with. It’s called “dirty milk tea” because they line the glass with the puree to show a design on the outside.

Dragon fruit and pineapple tea
The drink itself tasted pretty good but I was disappointed as to what it contained. I watched them make it and it essentially had a HUGE scoop of ice, 5 pieces of dragon fruit (2 red, 3 white), a few pieces of canned pineapple and some tea. Even though the drink itself was good, I was disappointed by the price of it. It was $7.50 for this drink which I think is on the pricy side considering there wasn’t very much to it ingredient wise. At least we got to keep the drink container.
Taro dirty milk tea
The taro dirty milk tea had taro along the sides but after a few minutes, the taro puree sunk to the bottom. We didn’t really taste the taro in the drink because as you can see from this photo, the drink was 90% milk and 10% taro puree. In the beginning you could taste the taro because you drink some of the puree, but the taro disappeared really quickly and it ended up being just milk. There were a few taro pearls in there but not enough for you to really enjoy it as you drank. Grayson did say he liked the taro balls here because they were big enough for you to taste the taro and enjoy the chewiness of it.
Not too impressed with Tiny One but their drinks are very Instagram friendly
