Oh My Gosh! Suntea BC has been ON IT with the new drinks lately! They came out with a mochi bubble tea topping a couple months back and now they have a new pineapple fleshy tea, mango coconut milk, peach oolong tea with salted cream and lime oolong tea!
Mochi soy milk tea
Wow has bubble tea come a long way in terms of toppings! This was the first time I’ve ever seen mochi being offered as a topping and of course I was intrigued! Suntea BC offers a few varieties of mochi drinks including soy milk, oreo and pork floss flavours. Some are definitely more intriguing than others!
The milk tea was similar in flavour to their brulee milk tea so I’m not sure if it’s made with soy milk. So, lactose intolerant beware and make sure that they use soy milk! The drink came with a few wafer crackers and a dusting of soy bean powder. This was confusing for me because I had to eat the wafer crackers separately. The mochi really surprised me. It went up the straw easily and remained soft and chewy! The only tricky part was that a lot of it was going up the straw at once so I had to break it up a bit. Otherwise, a fun drink to try out!
Mango coconut milk
This was such a dessert drink! The mango was strong in flavour even with the coconut milk in the background. It was such a blend of tropical flavours that remind you of the summer time. The coconut pudding on the bottom was a nice addition and something that we haven’t seen any where else before. I recommend this drink to anyone who loves all things tropical!
Fleshy pineapple tea
I love the fleshy tea series at Suntea because they are so fruity! The toppings in there are also fun because they have fresh fruit, clear boba and jelly! It’s like having a party of flavours! Their newest version of the drink is the fleshy pineapple tea. The tea is strong in pineapple flavour with tart notes to balance the flavours out. Definitely a must have for the summer and comes close to my current favourite, fleshy mango tea.
Taro balls roasted milk tea
Grayson and I had high expectations going into trying this drink because we’ve had something similar from Coco and Hou Cai Lei. Suntea has recently launched a roasted milk tea and you are able to swap their original milk tea with the roasted milk if you choose to do so. I wasn’t a huge fan of the roasted element of it and prefer the original. The taro balls were chewy and reminded me of the ones from Coco and Hou Cai Lei. Definitely excited that they now have taro balls as a topping offering but I won’t be switching over to roasted milk tea any time soon.
