Coco Lougheed is located in a plaza beside Sushi California across from Lougheed Town Centre. This location is smaller than the Brentwood one but the service was just as quick! At Coco Lougheed, you can collect points through the Belly app to earn free drinks. Not all the Coco locations have this but it’s a good thing to start collecting if you’re a frequent visitor!
Strawberry latte
One of my newest favourite drinks from Coco! It’s packed with strawberry flavour and I love how there are lots of strawberry bits in it as well. On top of the strawberry puree mixture, they add some tea before topping it with a layer of yogurt/cream and fresh milk! What results is the most amazing mixture to welcome the spring time!
Passion Dragon Fruit Slush with Honey Jelly
This was one of their newest drinks and the colour got us convinced to try it out. It was a dragon fruit slush with passion fruit syrup and honey jelly. We ordered the drink with 0% sugar but it was still sweet from the dragon fruit. The slush itself was delicious but the drink oddly had yogurt in it which I was not a fan of. I didn’t like the yogurt because it caused the drink to curdle and it was not a good look. The honey jelly was the thing that saved the drink for me by adding a light sweetness and texture.
Fresh taro milk tea
Fresh taro drinks have been promoted on quite a few bubble tea spots this month. The one from Coco offers SO MUCH fresh taro on the bottom that you won’t be missing it. The taro paste is quite thick but isn’t very sweet like most we’ve had before so we appreciated that. The milk tea was creamy with notes of tea that blended seamlessly with the earthiness of the taro. Yumm!
Fresh taro milk
Grayson and I thought that the taro milk was a little “plain” compared to the milk tea counterpart. The mashed taro didn’t mix well with the milk so it was like drinking the two things separately. If you’re looking for flavour, I’d recommend the milk tea version over this one because of how hard it is to mix the flavours together.
Peach yogurt
This was quite the adventurous drink for me to try out! I don’t usually order yogurt drinks since I am more of a milk tea kinda gal. The peach yogurt tasted EXACTLY like peach yogurt in a cup! There was a tang to it and the peach was super sweet and tasty! I loved how there were actually peach bits in it so there was no powder what so ever! I’d definitely get this again! Yum!
