Coco Fresh Tea Burnaby is one of the newest Coco locations. It is located along Lougheed highway right across from the Solo District. I haven’t been to a lot of their outlets but I’m pretty sure that the Coco Fresh Tea Burnaby location is one of their larger shops.
The cafe was brightly lit on the inside which was a completely transformation from the Starbucks that used to be here. I liked that they had quite a few tables to sit at so it would be perfect for studying once they open back up for dine-in again.
Since we hadn’t been to Coco for so long we weren’t sure what to get. They have added so many new things to their menu and is currently featuring their avocado drinks. The prices for their drinks range from $4.50 to $7.00 depending on the size and type. After some thought we decided to both get a milk tea.
Coco QQ milk tea
Milk tea from Coco is not made with fresh milk. Instead it is done the more traditional way by using milk powder. This is one of their new drinks and the QQ in the drink is sweet potato and taro balls. They are chewy and have hints of sweetness. Grayson also added sago to the drink for more texture. The milk tea itself was pretty good even though we got it unsweetened. It was creamy but it could have had more tea flavour.
3Q milk tea
This is a rendition of the QQ milk tea. I’m not sure why it’s called 3Q because it’s the same as the QQ but with pearls. I guess I just expected there to be 3 different toppings in there like the one from Sharetea. Regardless, just like with the QQ one, a tasty drink to enjoy but probably not one I can get a full size of.
