Hello friends! Grayson and I recently found out that Deer Garden takes 10% off your order between 3:30-6:00pm. This gives us the perfect excuse for having earlier dinners! By early I mean we get in at about 5:45pm and make our order so we have food by 6pm! I know it sounds really early but we don’t pass up a deal when there is one!
While they have other menu items to choose from, we usually go with their noodle soup combos because essentially we get to make our own dish. A lot of other Hong Kong cafe restaurants do this. But I find that deer garden has a larger variety of soup bases to choose from.
Tomato pumpkin soup
Grayson usually goes for the tomato pumpkin soup with beef and brisket because he likes that they give you extra veggies with this soup base. We are usually able to finish our noodles at deer garden. But for some reason, this visit was different because our bowls came with a mountain of toppings! Neither of us are complaining because yay more food but it was definitely a struggle to finish everything!
Pickled mustard greens and pepper fish soup
I always go for the pickled mustard greens and pepper fish soup because if you know me, pickled veggies are life! I’m so obsessed with them. I also always get mine with Korean sweet potato noodles because not only are they gluten free but they are so chewy and fun to eat!
