I had a good cup or two of untouched cheese puff crumbs from making my cheesy baked chicken tenders the other day and I figured that I needed to use the rest of it up somehow.

I would of made another batch of the chicken tenders but…unfortunately the cheese puff crumbs were stale by now and would no longer yield a crispy crunchy exterior if I used them. 🙁 So I had to think of something else.

After some digging, I found out that you could use cheese puff crumbs in place of shredded or powdered cheese to yield cheese flavor in pastries!

I was about to make cheese scones with the powder but all of a sudden lil’ bun said she was craving something crunchy so I ended up making these crackers instead. I’ve never made crackers before because they’re just not something I yearn for but upon making them this time, I think my savory pastry inkling is starting to set in and I can’t wait to make more savory treats!
