Grayson and I don’t go for bubble tea very often but this summer, we’ve been going out for it every week. I blame it on Grayson’s renewed love for Taiwanese food and me missing the time I spent there last year. We go to Chatime sometimes but today we decided to go to their sister store ZenQ.
ZenQ matcha tofu
We were super excited to see that ZenQ had matcha tofu pudding for the summer but we came after a big lunch so neither of us were hungry enough to have a dessert. Although this does mean that we can come back for it another time very soon 🙂
Black tea with pearls
Grayson went with the black tea with pearls and I got their original milk tea with pearls. We both got it unsweetened without ice. I don’t know how he drinks black tea like this because I think it’s so bitter! He says the pearls help sweeten it up so I guess that makes sense. I was looking forward to trying my original milk tea because last time I got their earl grey milk tea and it was really good. Unfortunately this milk tea was so milky that I couldn’t taste the tea in it at all. I definitely wouldn’t get this drink again but I’ll be back for the others!
