Sushi S

I’ve heard of Sushi S for a while but Grayson and I finally decided to go one day because well, we basically ate at every Japanese restaurant in central Burnaby already and this happened to be ONE of the rare ones we hadn’t been to. Sushi S is located in a plaza along Willingdon Ave by Moscrop Secondary Schol.

Nigiri combo

I never get nigiri but I was craving it but wanted sashimi so I decided to get a combo that allowed me to have both 🙂

This combo came with 2 pieces of both salmon and tuna sashimi along with chopped scallop, salmon, tuna, ebi, and hokkagai nigiris.

And what made it even better was the fact that there was a high protein to rice ratio! I was so happy that everything was evenly distributed so You got protein and rice in every bite!

What WAS a problem was that there was a piece of hair in one of my nigiris. I notified the server right away and was brought a new plate!

Chicken yaki udon

Across the table Grayson got a chicken yaki udon which he adored. He said that the chicken was cooked to golden crispy perfection and remained juicy on the inside. It was well seasoned with soy but had a  bit of added sweetness to balance everything out.

Kabocha croquette

★★★

To our surprise…the server brought us a kabocha croquette and takoyaki at the end of our meal to apologize again for the hair in my food!

They were both crispy and delicious! Although there was an issue with my food, they tried to make up for it and we left happy. 🙂
