Snowy Village – Vancouver

Aaannnndddd we’re back to Snowy Village Coquitlam! This time we are here again for none other than cro-tai! We just love having it on a cold day and they always have lots of tables at Snowy Village Coquitlam so we can always play a few rounds of Fluxx and Unstable Unicorns in there too so it’s a win win!

My favorite thing to do after we order is watch them make the cro-tai! They take one sheet of puff pastry, add the filling then top it off with another sheet of pastry. Then they place it into the fish shaped waffle iron and sprinkle a dusting of sugar on top if you choose a sweet filling. The pastry sits in there for 5 – 10 minutes depending on what type of filling you choose before being taken out. The edges are then cut so that it’s a uniform rectangle shape before being handed off to you.

Snowy Village Crotai

I’m so bad at trying new things once I find something I like but I decided to try the custard one this particular day and oooo it was a treat! It was so soft and felt like you were biting into a warm vanilla pudding. I wouldn’t get this one every time because it was a bit on the sweet side and messy to eat but it was nice to try it out. And of course Grayson got his usual pizza cro-tai because they didn’t have the ham and cheese version here. It’s strange how there are different offerings at all the different snowy village locations but we were happy so why ask anymore questions right?
