Hello friends! The other day Grayson and I made our way to the Nando’s in Burnaby because I was craving their peri-peri sauce. Yes I am quite aware that you can buy the sauces at the store by the bottle but it’s a different feel when you go in for a visit yourself! When we walked in the door, I was surprised as to how different it looked from Nando’s North Van because there were more of a rustic look at this Nando’s flame grilled chicken location.
Nando’s flame grilled 1/4 chicken with spiced rice
Grayson and I both got a 1/4 chicken and a side. He got his chicken seasoned with lemon herb and I got medium. Both chicken breast + wing were a bit on the dry side but the sauces made up for it. We did try the thighs last time we visited and they were way juicier. The size of the 1/4 chicken was different for the two of us with Grayson’s being larger so there were some inconsistencies there but overall the chicken was pretty good.

Grayson got to choose the spice level of the rice as well and he went with mild. The rice was lightly seasoned with turmeric and a few savory spice. My grilled corn was buttered before putting on the grill. It was super sweet and juicy with hints of smokiness. Yum.
