Good morning foodie friends! It’s summer and naturally that means it’s ice cream season! Marble Slab Creamery is an ice cream shop where you’re able to choose your ice cream and mix-ins! It’s like going for frozen yogurt but they mix in your toppings so you create your customized ice cream flavour!
Marble Slab toppings
Before choosing your ice cream flavor, you are able to sample a few. I wanted this matcha one they had a promo picture of but they didn’t have it in stock so that was very disappointing. After trying a few different flavors I settled on the summer peach one because it was so summery!
After that, I got to add in how ever many mix-ins I wanted. They had brownie bits, chocolate chips, marshmallows, assorted cereals, sprinkles, fruits and so much other fun stuff. Naturally I just added all the berries because I thought it would be weird to put in some of the other things even though they sounded really enticing.
Summer peach ice cream
After I chose the mix-ins, they mixed it into my ice cream on a frozen marble slab, hence the name of the creamery. The flavour of the summer peach ice cream was exactly what it sounds like. It tasted like juicy peaches! The berries added another element of fruity flavour.
I was surprised that the ice cream ended up being soo melty and drippy when it came to me. Isn’t the point of the marble slab so that it stays cold and icy? I took this picture seconds after it was handed off to me and as you can see, it was pretty much melting off the cone already.
