Kook Korean

Luckily, this wasn’t the case here because the food was just as tasty! This was the first time we tried their fried chicken. It was flavoured with garlic and stayed oh so crispy even though it was in a takeout box that steamed up. We were very impressed by this and thoroughly enjoyed each and every piece!

I liked that you could order the bbq meats even though we were ordering take out because their marinade is always so tasty! The pork belly and short rib was cooked well but we missed the bbq experience and the “char” flavour that comes with cooking it on a bbq stove. We would have much preferred having this as a dine-in item but this was a good alternative option.

Next was the bulgolgi rice box. It came with a decent portion of beef and I liked that they separated everything into different compartments of the takeout container. The egg was lightly marinated and the kimchi was the perfect blend of spicy and sour. Unfortunately it’s only available for lunch time.

We haven’t had spicy soup for a while so we also ordered the Yukgaejang. It was spicy beef soup with sweet potato noodles. The soup was mildly spicy and had just the right amount of heat. I was surprised how many different vegetables and pieces of meat there were on the inside too. Yum!
