Honey Doughnuts & Goodies

Hello friends! I went to Deep Cove this summer to explore it a bit because I hardly ever go all the way up there. I got to see a few seals popping in and out of the water! After a good two hours of kayaking in the Pacific Ocean, we decided to head over to Honey’s doughnut and goodies for some treats. Honey’s doughnut and goodies is the place to go when it comes to Deep Cove and they are usually buzzing with people.

Now I’m not much of a doughnut person so I wasn’t expecting much but the honey doughnuts here were soo unique! The exterior wasn’t smooth like your typical honey glazed doughnut. Instead, they were a little crinkly and almost croissant like in that there were lots of layers. Each doughnut looked unique in shape and texture on the outside.

Doughnuts

Unlike most doughnuts I’ve had before, this doughnut was dense but fluffy at the same time. It was as though it was a cake and yeast doughnut at the same time. Dare I say it was almost like a cronut!

The exterior had a crispy crust that was lightly glazed so it was sweetened perfectly and this is coming from someone who isn’t a fan of things being sweet! Since the doughnut was so dense, having half of it was already satisfying but it’s almost as though you want to finish the other half because it’s sooo good.

  1. Definitely not like any doughnut I’ve had before

  3. A little on the pricy side at $3.33/doughnut
