Chun Yang Tea is a Taiwanese bubble tea with a location in Richmond and Vancouver. Their store-front in Richmond is located along Alderbridge Road right beside Gyu-Kaku. The cafe is pretty small on the inside with enough room for a couple of cafe chairs and payment counter. If you visit Gyu-Kaku next door, you can bring your receipt in for 15% off your bill!
They offer a variety of milk tea and fruit tea drinks to choose from. When I arrived, I thought that the menu wasn’t extensive but it turns out they had two menus. One with photos and one without. Most of their drinks are specialty fruit teas, macchiatos and milk teas.
One of the drinks that Chun Yang Tea is known for is their Brown Sugar Soy Milk Tea. I like that they have non-dairy alternatives for those who are unable to have it.
Oolong milk tea with grass jelly
This was one of their most recommended drinks. The oolong tea flavour was robust and strong. If you are a fan of tea flavour in your milk tea, this is the place to be. The drink had a blend of richness of the milk and lightly sweetened by the grass jelly.
Black tea with pearls
Grayson always starts off with the black tea at any spot we visit. This tea had floral notes to it and had a robust roasted flavour. The tapioca pearls here are on the smaller side similar to the ones from Yi Fang. We didn’t mind though because they were chewy.
