If you’re not up for something sweet, they also offer sandwiches created with their house-made croissants! These are perfect for the days you’re here in the afternoon. I’ve visited a few times before for lattes and croissants but it’s been a while since I’ve had one of their desserts.

The cakes are located beside the chocolates and are just as colourful. They have a variety of cakes to choose from. What I love about their cakes is how unique the flavours are! They have a sunny matcha cake, cassis vanilla cake, chocolate mango and more!

Strawberry pistachio cake

I decided to get the strawberry pistachio cake. I picked it because it’s one of their seasonal items. The one I got was the one for 5 – 6 people and costed $29 after tax. The cake had FIVE layers to it and it included a pistachio cream, pistachio praline, strawberry cream and a layer with fresh strawberries!

I loved how even the layers of the cake was and it was The cakes here aren’t very sweet which is why I like the cakes from Chez Christophe Chocolatier so much. My favourite layers were the first three with the pistachio cream and fresh strawberries. The bottom two layers of the cake were denser which made it difficult to cut through compared to the silkier top layers. It was also a bit tricky to cut through the praline on the bottom so we didn’t end up eating it with the rest of the cake. We enjoyed it and found the pistachio to be a unique addition to the cake.
