Cafe Sweet and Beans is a cafe located along Kingsway by Suntea and Oyama Sushi. The cafe is hidden and you would miss it if you didn’t know it was there. When you walk into Cafe Sweet and Beans, you’ll see the a large cafe seating area with lots of people studying or getting together. They offer lattes, waffles, pasta, coffee, and bubble tea drinks.
The prices here are on the more expensive side when it comes to bubble tea pricing at $6-7 for a simple milk tea drink. They did have buy one get one 50% off though for dine-in so we thought the price was more reasonable with the discount. Unfortunately, it took them 15-20 minutes to give us our drinks even though it wasn’t busy.
Matcha milk tea
The matcha milk tea was sweet even though we ordered it unsweetened. I did like that they made it with whole milk which made the drink nice and creamy!
Injeolmi red bean milk tea
I was interested in trying out this drink because I’ve never had a drink with soy bean before. You could taste the soy bean powder in the milk which was nice. However, I was not a fan of the red bean. Instead of being separate beans, it was all clumped together because they put red bean PASTE inside! Not good at all! The drink wasn’t too sweet even though I wasn’t able to customize the sweetness but I won’t be back anytime soon.
