Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day because I love me some oatmeal! But sometimes oats can get boring…especially if you have them everyday so here are 5 new healthy oatmeal ideas you can use to prepare your hearty bowl of nourishing oats!

5 healthy oatmeal ideas

Cinnamon banana oats

  • 1/2 cup uncooked quick cooking oats
  • 1 1/2 cup milk of choice
  • 1 banana mashed
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • optional: sweeteners + toppings you want to add

Pour your milk into a medium pot. Bring your milk to a simmer on medium heat.
Add in your sweetener, oats and mashed banana. Reduce heat to simmer. Let the oats cook for 3-5 minutes or until it reaches your desired consistency.
Top with your favorite nuts, seeds, and fruit

Very Berry oats

  • 1/2 cup uncooked quick cooking oats
  • 1 1/2 cup milk of choice
  • 3/4 cup frozen berries
  • optional: sweeteners + toppings you want to add

Pour your milk into a medium pot. Bring your milk to a simmer on medium heat.
Add in your sweetener, oats and frozen berries. Reduce heat to simmer. Let the oats cook for 3-5 minutes or until it reaches your desired consistency.
Top with your favorite nuts, seeds, and fruit

Peanut butter and banana oats

  • 1 banana mashed
  • 1/2 cup uncooked quick cooking oats
  • 1 1/2 cup milk of choice
  • 1 heaped tablespoon of peanut butter
  • optional: sweeteners + toppings you want to add

Pour your milk into a medium pot. Bring your milk to a simmer on medium heat.
Add in your oats, sweetener and mashed banana. Reduce heat to simmer. Let the oats cook for 3-5 minutes or until it reaches your desired consistency. Stir in your peanut butter
Top with your favorite sweetener, nuts, seeds, and fruit

Chia pudding overnight oats

  • 1/2 cup uncooked quick cooking oats
  • 1 1/2 cup milk of choice
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1/2 cup yogurt
  • 1 banana mashed
  • optional: sweeteners + toppings you want to add

Pour your milk into a medium pot. Bring your milk to a simmer on medium heat.
Add in your chia seeds, oats, sweetener and mashed banana. Reduce heat to simmer. Let the oats cook for 3-5 minutes or until it reaches your desired consistency. Let oats cool for 5 minutes before stirring in the yogurt. Refrigerate overnight. Top with your favorite nuts, seeds, and fruit before consuming

Savoury beet root oats

  • 1/2 cup diced beets
  • 1/2 cup uncooked quick cooking oats
  • 1 1/2 cup water
  • optional: sweeteners + toppings you want to add

Pour your water into a medium pot. Bring your water to a simmer on medium heat. Add in your beets and cook until tender. Add in your oats. Reduce heat to simmer. Let the oats cook for 3-5 minutes or until it reaches your desired consistency.

  1. LOVE all of these ideas! I’ve made something similar to cinnamon banana oats and very berry oatmeal! I have to try the peanut butter oats and beet oatmeal!
