Xiang Yuan Qiao – food court

Xiang Yuan Qiao is one of the most popular spots for crossbridge noodles in Vancouver and in my opinion, it’s where the crossbridge noodle trend began. Why are they called cross-bridge noodles? Read my previous post to find out! Grayson and I go for Xiang Yuan Qiao noodle pots quite often but didn’t realize that they actually had a food court location inside crystal mall so that’s where we ended up going for an afternoon snack the other day.

Typically the two of us would order a pot each or just go for the 2 person pot because we share anyways so why not go for the better value. Since we were stopping by for a small meal this time, we decided to get one regular sized pot ($10.95) and add an extra protein and portion of noodles to it.

Our meal ended up being $15 which I thought was pretty reasonable considering that some of the single pot versions at xiang yuan qian are already $14 and here we were with enough food for two! Just like with the restaurants, you have the option of adding green onions, garlic, cilantro, chili oil, black vinegar and pepper oil together to create a sauce for your noodles. While we weren’t a fan of the plastic cup situation because why create more environmental waste, we enjoyed that they also had this option at the food court. As always we were happy with our meal and we will be back soon!
