I recently found out that Midam rice cake house had a new location in Richmond. I love their Coquitlam restaurant so much that I just had to give the place a visit when I was in the area.
Stir fried rice cakes
Grayson decided to get the sauteed rice cake sticks and I got the spicy rice cake soup. I mean if a place is known for their rice cakes, that’s what you have to get right?
He never had rice cake sticks served this way before so it was quite the dining experience. He said that it reminded him of the Chinese soy sauce ho-fun noodles but prepared with rice cakes instead.
Spicy tofu soup
I usually get the soup when I visit Midam rice cake house so I decided to get something different this time. I didn’t know it came with rice so I ended up with quite a bit of food. The soup wasn’t too spicy but it was packed with sliced rice cakes, egg and veggies.
