Little baby cakes

Little Baby Cakes is a catering company that offers a variety of mini bite sized cupcakes. They currently only take orders online but they will soon open a storefront so that everyone can have access to their delicious cupcakes! The Little baby cakes are priced at $7 a box (6 cupcakes) and $13 for two boxes (a dozen).

I thought that the packaging for these cupcakes looked really sleek and clean on the outside. However, it was quite difficult to remove each cupcake from the boxes because they were so small and not all of them sat in their spots snuggly so my cupcakes ended up rolling all over the place in the box.

Each cupcake is a little smaller than the size of a mini muffin and are literally the size of a toonie! But lthough small in size, these little cupcakes packed a flavorful punch!

They come in an assortment of flavors and here’s how I felt about a few of them starting from the top left…

coconut

Even though this was supposed to be a coconut cupcake, I didn’t think there was much coconut flavor…I think that the cake base should of been more coconut flavored

matcha

This one was my favorite of the bunch. You could really taste the matcha through the sweetness of the frosting and there was the perfect amount of red beans on top for balance

white chocolate

The chocolate cupcake had a dense brownie like texture and was topped with a creamy white chocolate based frosting. It was a little difficult to taste the white chocolate but it was definitely chocolatey

red velvet

The cream cheese frosting was smooth and the cupcake tasted more like vanilla cake than chocolate but nevertheless, a good cupcake. I liked the mini pearls they put on top because it made it look so elegant.

double chocolate

This was similar to the white chocolate but it just had a chocolate frosting on top. As with the white chocolate, the cake was a little dense.

Update: They are now having a pop-up store in the skybridge of Holt Renfrew and they have cupcake jars there as well!
