I haven’t eaten sushi for so long that I’m already salivating as I’m writing this post. Japanese food is something I can never get enough of. So, we decided to go to Hanano sushi to try out some of their dishes. Hanano sushi is located on Clarke Road near Lougheed Centre.

It was filled with mushrooms of all varieties, tofu, seafood and asian greens. The soup had a perfect miso base that added a depth of flavor without being too salty. I liked that it came with a bowl of rice because we put the broth on the rice afterwards! The tofu soaked up some of the broth so each bite was packed full of miso goodness!
Hanano sushi rolls
Sushi is ALWAYS something we order so we decided to get a salmon and avocado roll, beef teriyaki roll and a vegetable roll (because you can’t forget your veggies)!
My favorite was the veggie roll of course and I liked how they added the mango for a bit of sweetness but that’s only because I got it during mango season…so I doubt it’d be as good if the mango was sour 🙁
Ugh, I need to have sushi again too! Just have to find a restaurant that has good vegan sushi! 🙂

You’re making me crave sushi! Jasmine is not a fan of sushi so my cravings always take longer to satisfy 🙁
