Hehehe summer time = ice cream time! I was finally able to try Earnest Ice cream after hearing SO MUCH about it.
Seriously. I swear Earnest Ice cream has taken Vancouver by the storm ever since it opened. Thank goodness for the fact that there’s more than one location now!
Salted caramel
This went over very well in my household and the entire jar was gone in a blink of an eye. Mother deer and I thought this was a little too sweet for our taste. That’s because we don’t have much of a sweet tooth. Lil’ bun thought it was the best thing in the world and couldn’t keep herself away from the jar!
(note: I ended up sprinkling an extra crackle or two of the Himalayan pink salt on mine to amp up the salt and boy was that a good idea)
Whisky hazelnut
I didn’t think that I would like this one because I’m usually not a fan of alcoholic flavors but I actually liked this one better than the salted caramel!
The slight bitterness of the whisky balanced out the sweetness of the ice cream and created a perfect balance. My favorite part of it had to be the hazelnuts though….wonderfully toasted to crunchy perfection which added wonderful contrast to the creaminess of the icecream 😛
I can’t wait to bring my jars back to Earnest to get not only $1 off my ice cream but to try one of their vegan options!
