We decided to have a family pizza night. I suggested that we order from Cotto enoceta because they offer an amazing deal on Mondays where they offer 2 for $20 on all their pizzas for take out. Cotto enoceta is located in North Burnaby and offers casual dining with a wine bar.
Salmone
Fresh mozzarella, fresh smoked salmon, crispy capers, 63 degree egg, chives, hollandaise sauce
I ordered this pizza without the hollandaise and unfortunately that delicious gooey egg broke apart on the car ride home. This was my favorite out of all the ones we tried…what can be better than the combination of smoked salmon with salty capers all on a crispy baked pizza?
Capricciosa
Sugo di pomodoro, fresh mozzarella, prosciutto cotto, mushrooms, artichoke hearts, black olives
This one was lil’ bun’s favorite because she really liked the combination of the mushrooms and prosciutto together. It was like an amped up version of ham and mushroom pizza. She never tried artichoke hearts before but she felt that they added a nice hint of saltiness to the pizza.
Pizza Italia
Focaccia crust, arugula, cherry tomato, burrata cheese, olive oil, red wine reduction
We chose this one because I thought that a pizza with a focaccia crust would be a cool thing to try. But unfortunately, we weren’t huge fans of this pizza because we found it strange that it was topped with raw ingredients. We expected everything to be cooked and baked in the oven all together and so we found it confusing that it wasn’t. It was difficult to eat because it felt like were were eating a salad on top of our pizza.
Pizza di Spagna
Arugula pesto, fresh mozzarella, chorizo sausage, copa ham, roasted red & yellow peppers, mohon cheese, fresh baby arugula, parmigiano reggiano
We chose this one because it was topped with all sorts of good stuff. Unfortunately, we thought that it was lacking in chorizo and copa ham because we could hardly find any in there!
Bummer about the egg! Still tasted delicious though, right?
Yeup! Who cares how it looks as long as it’s yumms right? 😛
