DIY beauty: anti-cellulite coffee sugar scrub

Food’s not just for eating and filling you up on the inside anymore, it’s good for your skin too! This is an easy recipe for a coffee scrub that helps remove cellulite. Cellulite occurs when connective tissues press fat cells up against the skin. This causes your skin to look lumpy and orange peel like. Cellulite is more common in women and can happen to people of all sizes. Although cellulite can’t permanently disappear, there are lots of things you can do to help reduce the appearance of them like using this coffee sugar scrub!

Clean ingredients

As with all my clean eats recipes, every ingredient in this coffee sugar scrub is natural and has a purpose. The main ingredient of this scrub is coffee because since it’s a diuretic which means that it’ll help flush out the water surrounding the fat cells that cause cellulite. The caffeine in it can also help reduce the appearance of swelling in the area.

Cinnamon is added into the mix because it’s an anti-inflammatory agent which means that it helps reduce the redness of your skin.

Coconut oil is known for being a good fat and baking substitute but it’s also an awesome moisturizer if you don’t mind smelling like coconut that is.

Speaking of baking, baking soda isn’t just used for cleaning, teeth whitening, or baking anymore because it can actually be used for the skin as an effective natural and gentle abrasive that pulls off dead skin cells to reveal the glowing skin underneath.

Last but not least, sugar is added to well, give it the scrub consistency it needs and help remove icky dead skin.
