Today we’re going to talk bananas. Not only are bananas amazing in baking as egg substitutes and natural sweeteners they’re super good for you too. A banana has high levels of tryptophan in them which basically means they tell your brain to tell you to be happy. Haven’t you ever wondered why bananas are smile shaped? They also keep your heart happy because they help lower blood pressure and regulate blood sugar levels. Yay.
Speaking of heart health, eating bananas before a work out gives you a quick energy boost and having one after helps restore all the potassium you lose during a workout. So even if you’re not a fan of bananas, I hope my little blurb on their goodness entice you to at least give this recipe a go! I mean it IS ice cream after all!
Clean. Simple. Ingredients.
1 banana frozen
2 cups spinach
a scant handful dark mint chocolate chips
Method
Blend all the ingredients up in a blender, and munch! If you want it a little thicker, let set in the freezer for a bit.
