Camellia Tea and Coffee

Camellia Tea and Coffee is a small coffee shop by Royal Oak skytrain station that’s perfect for studying, catching up with friends and more. Camellia Tea and Coffee is definitely a place I can just have a nice relaxing cup of tea.

I’ve heard many things about Camellia before and I’m glad I finally went! From the outside Camellia looks like a small cafe but it’s interior was spacious. There was quite a bit of seating on the inside. It’s decor was chic yet comfortable and looked like it would be the perfect place to study or read.

Black forest sandwich

Grayson decided to go for a sandwich because he was feeling hungry. Originally he was leaning towards getting a cookie but I reminded him that it would probably not fill him up enough and he’d still end up feeling hungry after having it.

The sandwich bread almost resembled a croissant in that it was quite flaky in texture. The sandwich had a substantial amount lettuce, tomato, cucumber, cheese, ham and egg on the inside as well. He didn’t expect there to be egg but felt that it added a nice touch to the sandwich. He was super glad he decided to choose this sandwich over a cookie because he was quite satisfied by the end of it

Japanese Okinawa peach sencha tea

I decided to get a cup of Japanese Okinawa peach sencha tea ($3.50) because it was listed as one of the top picks out of all the green teas they offered. It had nice fruity notes but I wouldn’t be able to tell that it was peach unless someone told me it was peach. I can’t wait to try a latte or even try one of their delicious looking treats in their pastry case!
