Nom nom nom Korean is on the menu again! This time we decided to go to Haroo Tofu House because we were shopping at Richmond Centre and didn’t want to go too far. I guess we could of gone to Samsoonie but we wanted to try somewhere new.
Bulgolgi combo: Grayson couldn’t decide if he wanted something grilled or a soup so this allowed him to get both. He decided to get the clam soup with it which was something he never tried before but his uneasiness was relieved when he tried it. He never had chicken bulgolgi before either and was worried it would be too dry but it wasn’t that way at all and was quite succulent. The marinade was a perfect marriage of sweet and salty.
Kimchi tofu soup: How could I not get my go to dish? Unfortunately, I wasn’t very impressed with this bowl of soup because it lacked depth of flavor. The soup didn’t have any flavor to it and all you could really taste was some sort of heat from the kimchi I put into it. On the bright side there was a good block of tofu in there along with a decent amount of veggies.
