Trees Organic Coffee revisit

Hi friends, I didn’t have the greatest experience last time at Trees Organic Coffee but my first visit went well so I decided to give it another go so here I am. This time I visited the Trees Organic Coffee downtown location.

Cranberry pecan muffin

Even though I’ve been to Trees a few times now, I have yet to try their baked goods so I decided to pick up a cranberry pecan muffin. Unlike most cranberry muffins where dried cranberries are put inside, these were filled with fresh ones. This was absolutely delightful and I loved how they popped and added an element of tartness to the sweet muffin.

This muffin was also a soft and fluffy that was contrasted by the crunchiness of the toasted pecans. Definitely one for the muffin books.

Coconut carrot ginger soup

Next up is one of my favorites here. Their coconut carrot ginger soup. It’s so creamy and warming that it’s perfect for a cold rainy day in Vancouver. Which happens pretty much every week.

Roasted tomato soup

My favorite soup though has got to be their roasted tomato soup and sometimes it comes with bread depending on whether or not they have some left that day.

Blueberry cheesecake

Trees is known for their cheesecakes and I’ve had them before in the past. The filling is always creamy, smooth and light. Which is what I like about them. However, on this one occasion, I picked up a blueberry cheesecake for Lil bun. She was looking forward to it and enjoyed it saving the wide edge for her last bite.

What she didn’t expect was that there would be a piece of plastic for in it! Even more alarming was that the piece of plastic for was white so it blended in with the cheesecake filling. This was definitely not what she signed up for when she got this cheesecake. I can only imagine what would of happened if a child was eating it! It’s such a choking hazard!

Mint chip cheesecake

After my last visit’s cheesecake incident, I was unsure if I should even get another slice but I couldn’t say no to mint chip so I got one. I wasn’t a huge fan of it though unfortunately. There was hardly any mint flavor and the chocolate chips were only on the crust. Maybe i’ll just come for the muffins and soup from now on.
