Milksha focuses on using 100% fresh milk, and only natural ingredients. This means that their drinks contain no preservatives, chemical ingredients or artificial colourings! They have been opening a few locations around the metro Vancouver area including one in Richmond, and downtown Vancouver. We went to the location in Richmond and it was actually a shared space with a restaurant. So unfortunately, there was no seating inside.
Their menu is simplistic and to the point with fresh milk options on one side and fruit teas on the other. Their fruit teas are made with fresh fruits and juices which was a huge selling point for us. I’m not sure what the difference is between their fresh milk drinks and the milk tea lattes but I’m guessing fresh milk means the drink is shaken together whereas the latte is just topped with milk.
Their oolong tea latte had smokiness to it and the fresh milk added richness. It wasn’t overly smoky like some of the oolong milk teas I’ve had which was nice. I got it with their signature honey pearls which added sweetness to the drink! There was a mild honey flavour to the pearls which was nice and they were perfectly chewy. I’d definitely get them again!
Grayson got the orange green tea because it’s one of their signature fruit drinks. Milksha uses Taiwanese orange juice so it has a little bit of a different flavour profile than the orange juice we’re used to. Grayson got his drink 30% sweet but he said that next time he would get it unsweetened because the orange juice was sweet enough.
