On the last week of class, one of my professors from school decided to treat us out for pizza on campus! How nice of her right? I didn’t even know that Mercante existed prior to this but Ive always seen people walking around with pizza boxes and I guess I finally figured out where they’ve all been coming from!

Mercante pastry case

They don’t only serve pizza here though, they have pastries, snacks, pasta, salad and dessert offerings as well!

I was actually surprised they had a real brick oven inside to cook all their pizzas!

Margherita

classic tomato, basil and bocconcini

Margherita is my favorite type of pizza but I’ve had better. It could of used more basil but it wasn’t bad for a pizza on campus

Pizza bianca

bocconcini, mozarella, gorgaonzola, parmesan and chevre cheese

Ortonlana

basil, mozzarella, bocconcini, arugula, artichokes, pickled tomatoes

My friends said that they thought this one was okay but the crust on the bottom was really char-ed and burnt so it was hard for them to finish their slices
