Yay Tacos! I haven’t gone for tacos for the longest time so when we walked by Tocador and saw their bright, colourful and fun tables outside, we decided to grab some. Lucky for us, it was happy hour when we got there so there were a few specials on. The menu includes $8 guava spritz, $5 fish tacos and 2 for $7 tacos!

Tacos

Suadero tacos – These were their beef tacos. There was braised beef, onions and cilantro in a soft corn tortilla shell. I wish that the meat had more seasonings on it or another sauce because it was quite try. The tacos came with a side of salsa but there wasn’t enough to really make the meat succulent every bite.

Cauliflower tacos – I’ve never had cauliflower tacos before so I was excited to try them out. The ones here are topped with deep fried cauliflower florets, cilantro, and a sunflower seed mole which I found really unique. The sunflower seed mole added earthiness to the tacos making the flavours well rounded. Not sure how they compare to other cauliflower tacos but they were pretty tasty for the first ones I’ve tried.

Guava Spritz

For happy hour, they offer their guava spritz drink for $8. The drink has a rose base and is flavoured with guava to add fruitiness.
