Temaki sushi

I was visiting Nat at work a little while ago and we decided to go to Temaki Sushi for lunch on her break. Usually we would go to Gyo Para Ramen but we were craving sushi so we went to Temaki sushi instead.

Lunch bento A

We each got a miso soup to start. It was nothing special but it was enough to warm us up on a windy day. Nat went with the Lunch bento A which came with chicken teriyaki, california rolls, salad and gyoza. The gyoza had crispy edges but it was quite oily. The california rolls were more imitation crab heavy than rice so that was a good sign and the chicken teriyaki had 4 piece of chicken.

Oyako don

I was still recovering from being sick so I opted for a simple oyako don. Unfortunately it was not good at all. The rice was mushy and gummy and there wasn’t enough sauce to go around and flavor the rice bowl so I ended up added soy sauce. The chicken wasn’t pan fried. Instead it was battered and put into the fryer but it wasn’t done well because the outside coating was soggy so I ended up taking it all off. I wouldn’t get this again nor would I recommend it to anyone. Perhaps sticking with the lunch bentos and other menu items are best.
