We didn’t get enough of SunTea 新作の茶 last time so we visited again! This time around, they were fully stocked on their Dorayaki pancakes! They have Cheese matcha dorayaki, Cheese blueberry dorayaki, Cheese purple potato dorayaki, Cheese durian dorayaki, Cheese oreo dorayaki and Original red bean dorayaki. Each dorayaki runs for either $5.95 or $6.95 each depending on the flavour.

Cheese matcha red bean dorayaki

On the day we went, they were offering their Cheese matcha red bean dorayaki for the first time so we decided to go with that one. When we got the dorayaki, it was cold in the centre! It made sense though because it had a cheese filling so it was probably kept in the fridge. The packaging of the pancake was unique because there was a dotted line down the centre. If you tear down the line, it allows you to rip the dorayaki perfectly in half!

I liked the sweetness of the pancakes because it almost had a maple-y flavour to it. The pancakes were also light and fluffy which made them easy to eat! Even though it was advertised to have a matcha cheese filling, we didn’t taste any cheese or matcha flavour at all. Instead, we mostly tasted the pancake and the red bean. So we were a bit disappointed. With that being said, the pancake was still a pretty tasty dessert to enjoy!

Fleshy peach tea slush

We loved the fresh fruit teas so much the last time we were here that we just had to get another one of them! This time I decided to get the peach one. Like the other fruit teas, this one also had clear jelly, peach chunks and agar in it. I like the combination of all the toppings because they add another element of texture to the drink!

This slush tasted like ripe, juicy, white peaches! If you aren’t sure what that tastes like, imagine the flavour of the fuzzy peaches gummies without the sour notes! Even though I got it unsweetened, it was still pretty sweet so I recommend ordering it unsweetened if you’re not a fan of sweet drinks. I’d come back for this drink again and again! I can see why this is one of the top 10 drinks!

Brulee milk tea with boba

Since SunTea 新作の茶 is a boba shop, we had to try some of their milk tea drinks as well. One of their more popular ones is the brulee ones for its unique design and brulee flavour. I really wanted to enjoy this one but after the first sip, the brulee flavour disappeared and dissolved into the drink. The milk tea here has a strong tea flavour though which made up for the lack of brulee flavour. They make their tapioca pearls from scratch as well so they were extra bouncy in texture.

Milk tea with tofu pudding and purple rice

This was similar to the brulee drink but with different toppings. The tofu pudding added a pudding-like texture to the drink and the purple rice added a chewy texture. If you’re a fan of unique milk tea toppings, try this drink out! Their milk tea drinks come in regular or large size depending on how thirst you are feeling that day. With that being said, you don’t get more toppings in your drink if you order a large so keep that in mind when ordering your drink size.

All in all, we would revisit SunTea 新作の茶 again to enjoy their fruit slush drinks and to give another go at their dorayaki pancakes. But we probably wouldn’t get their milk teas again.
