Sulbing Cafe is located along North Road in a plaza. The cafe offers Korean shaved ice dessert – bingsoo, waffles, toast, korean rice cakes, and cafe drinks. Sulbing Cafe had a few tables on the inside with some borders to provide adequate spacing in between.
Pizza Tteokbokki
We ordered the Pizza Tteokbokki thinking that it would be like an actual pizza. I mean it’s in the name! We were expecting a plush bready crust surrounded a layer of spicy tteokbokki and cheese. Turns out we were wrong about the pizza part. The rice cakes came in a medium sized cast iron pan with an almost paste-like dough covering a layer of tteokboki.
The tteokbokki wasn’t very chewy because the “pizza crust” trapped in more heat which made them softer. They hit them mark on spicy side so we were happy with that. There was some cheese on top but not enough to warrant a cheese stretch of any kind. The dough around the outside was pretty much inedible because of how dry and tortilla like it was. I mean the filling was tasty but I would not call it a “pizza” by any means.
We will be back to try some of their desserts next time and hopefully they will turn out better.
