Spiritea is a bubble tea cafe in Aberdeen Centre. It’s located around the corner so it’s a little hidden but when you find it, it’s such a cute spot! The interior of the cafe is pink and white which makes it perfect for a photo opt. I have been wanting to come here for a while so I was excited to finally take the time to visit! They specialize in fresh fruit drinks including fresh fruit slushes topped with cheese foam, wellness teas and fresh fruit teas!
Spiritea used to have specialty mousse and layered bakes but now they only have crepe cakes. The crepe cakes are from Lady M which is a well known crepe cake brand. You can order them by the slice or as a whole. They have a variety of flavours including matcha, pistachio, chocolate, coconut, passion fruit, and tiramisu.
Super Orange Fruitea
I decided to get the Super Orange Fruitea since it was one of their popular featured drinks. There was a strong freshly squeeze orange flavour to it in the beginning but it disappeared as I got through the drink. I would have liked it more if there was more fresh orange juice to enhance the flavours. It was alright but I don’t think the cost was justified since it wasn’t a 5 star drink for me.
Rose Oolong tea
Grayson has been getting rose oolong tea lately so he decided to try the one here. The oolong tea had a strong rose flavour but the bitterness of the oolong helped mellow it out. The tea came warm which he found strange against the clear pearls. The pearls are not chewy but they do have a bite to them. He would have liked the drink more if it was chilled to a cooler temperature.
Spiritea is definitely a good spot to go to catch up with friends and for an Instaworthy photo opt but I am not convinced that the prices of the drinks or cakes for that matter, are justified enough to make me want to come back for more.
