MYST Asian fusion

Grayson has been raving about MYST Asian fusion ever since it opened. So now that I’m back, I wanted to see if it’s worth the hype. We got to MYST Asian fusion at around 6:30pm on a week night and it was already packed inside. Lucky for us, we got one of the last booths. I’d definitely recommend coming early unless you’re willing to wait or look for and wide for a decent parking spot

MYST Asian fusion menu

From what I’ve read about Myst, it’s menu is supposed to be made up of things you’d find at the Taiwanese night market. After living in Taiwan for a year, I can say that it was pretty accurate in this regard.

As much as I enjoy having options, the menu was definitely big and overwhelming. It took us a good ten minutes to figure out what we wanted because there was just so much to choose from.

My friends decided to get the grill plate combo which came with a choice of protein, starch base, veggies and sauce. It’s a good deal for $13 and you’d definitely be more than full off of it.

Hot and sour soup

I’m not a meat-eater and it was really hard for me to find something to eat. I ended up choosing the hot and sour soup but the only other vegetarian options they had were appetizers or congee. I definitely wasn’t impressed with that. The noodles were good though. It was a large portion and while I’ve had a better hot and sour soup in my lifetime, the amount of veggies/tofu the soup had in it made up for it’s lack of flavor.

Basically, Myst is great for all the Taiwanese lovers out there. Don’t come hungry if you’re a vegetarian unless you love congee and dumplings.
