Are you excited that summer time is finally here and we’ve been able to go out to enjoy some of the sunshine? I’m in the same boat because it’s been forever since I’ve been to a barbecue! We decided to have one at home last week and were out of burger buns so I decided to make some from scratch.

I’ve never made my own burger buns before but I’ve made my share of buns and yeast breads so I thought I could figure it out. You’re probably here because you’re in the same boat!

These burger buns have a brioche dough to add richness and flavour. Brioche buns also stay soft, and fresh longer because of the added butter so they keep well. Each batch of buns make 12 and you can half the recipe if you only need 6. We only used 9 of our buns and ended up using the rest for breakfast the next day.

We love having the ability to personalize our own burgers so we usually have a burger bar with….

  • Beef patties
  • Grilled chicken
  • Caramelized onions
  • Bell peppers
  • Tomatoes
  • Lettuce
  • Cucumbers
  • Condiments
What do you like to top your burgers with? Click to comment to let me know! [wpdiscuz-feedback id=”jn9yamtwpy” question=”Please leave a feedback on this” opened=”0″][/wpdiscuz-feedback]
