Grayson and I were wondering around Richmond and stumbled upon Richmond City Market. We haven’t been there for years so we decided to walk on in.
Encore tea menu
The menu at Encore tea is pretty extensive with every type of tea option out there. Encore tea offers brown sugar tea, fruit teas, seasonal specials, milk teas, plain tea and lattes!
Fresh red bean milk tea
I got this drink because it was made with fresh milk instead of the powder. You can order this drink unsweetened because it already comes with sweetened red bean. The red beans are slightly chopped up so they fit through the straw! The milk tea here had a different flavour than Taiwanese milk tea but I didn’t mind it.
Passion fruit green tea
Neither of us expected there to be actual passion fruit seeds in the drink. The passion fruit seeds added crunch but with the pearls, there was too much going on so we wouldn’t get it with both next time. There was a strong passion fruit tartness with a subtle sweetness from the syrup. We couldn’t taste much of the tea though.
If you’re a fan of cheap bubble tea in the Richmond area and supporting local businesses, Encore tea is a great spot to visit. Richmond city market is also home to popular bubble tea spot Peanuts so we are looking forward to visit them next time too.
