Ebisu is the go-to spot in Vancouver for birthday parties because they allow you to reserve tables for larger parties. They serve Japanese fare and cocktails of all sorts. There is paid parking in the back for your convenience and is open late.

Food

There are a variety of Japanese dishes that are available at Ebisu. They offer some fusion dishes as well which provides for a good variety of items. I’ve had better Japanese food in the Vancouver downtown area. We had the steak and tomato “risotto” dish there which came on a sizzling plate. It was hot and the cheese melted right on top! The rice was tender and soaked up the flavor of the tomato nicely but I wouldn’t call it a risotto. The other dish we had was the spicy ramen. I wouldn’t recommend the ramen because the noodles were super soft and had no texture to them. The broth in the ramen was the saving grace but for $18, you can get a better bowl of ramen elsewhere.
