It’s just been one of those crazy weeks and the best way to end one of those off is through…you guessed it, happy hour! I’m more of a happy hour at Earl’s happy hour kind of girl usually but Nat wanted to go to Cactus for happy hour so we went there instead.
We started off with a sunset soda each. They’re vodka sodas with a splash of bellini slush with I thought was a nice touch because it added sweetness and fruitiness to the drink.
After a few more rounds of sunset sodas I decided to try the Kyoto fizz instead. Unfortunately it was a confusing mix of tart, herbal and sweet flavors. I ended up getting this again oddly enough and the drink looked completely different. The purple on top only took up 1/4 of the glass instead of half. So needless to say, not very great with the drink consistency.
I also got a pesto chicken quesadilla because after a few drinks, I decided that I needed to get some food in me. This was the perfect thing for that. It had the perfect mix of protein carb and fat (from the pesto/cheese). The chicken was speckled in there nicely and the pesto stood out against the cheese.
