Oyama sushi (coquitlam)

The sushi cravings are so real right now that I’ve been away for two months!

I have been eating Japanese food here but it’s always been teishoku style instead of sushi since the sushi here is totally not good. Well to be honest I’ve never tried it so I can’t say for sure if it’s good or not but from just looking at it I can tell it’s not very good so I haven’t risked trying any.

Mango ebi roll: These rolls were nice and simple. A california roll topped with a strip of shrimp and mango sauce.

These rolls were nothing too special. We liked the yam roll better because we liked the crunch of the tempura batter on the inside. I wish I could say the same about the ebi tamago roll because it wasn’t very good. The shrimp on top was a mess and so was the rice since it was overly sticky and falling apart.

As if we didn’t have enough veggies already, we decided to get the veggie roll! Even though lil’ bun doesn’t like having her veggies, she didn’t mind these rolls because she liked the mango that was inside it!

Then last but not least, we couldn’t leave without having sashimi so we decided to get an assorted sashimi platter 🙂
